Most people probably still think of massage as a pampering, relaxing, spa type of experiance. Many of my first time clients are usually suprised to learn the many benefits of a therapeutic massage. Repetitive motion and injuries can cause our muscles to spasm and eventually cause knots. These knots can cause pain and, in some cases, pinched nerves. Massage can help alleviate this pain as well as general tightness in the muscles. Therapeutic massage can also help to treat tendonitis, carpal tunnel, sciatica, fibromyalsia, migraines, and more. In my sessions, I strive not only to treat my clients' complaints, but also to help them become aware of posture and repetetive body movements that could be the original cause of their pain.

Agree. Any massage is therapeutic but differs on how much effort is exerted by the therapist.
